I think not.
 
I love to shop...even if it's just window shopping.  So I sign up for and get promotional emails from a number of stores - Shoppers Drug Mart, RW&Co, Victoria's Secret, ebay, amazon, Chapters...etc.
 
Today - being supposedly the biggest shopping day of the year before Christmas, I got emails from every single retail and online outlet I have ever shopped at or signed up for a newsletter from.  Literally every emails in my inbox this morning were either promoting a sale or product.
